"Introducing Our Newest Associate Editor: Dr. Maria Stefanova Atanassova - An Accomplished Researcher and Experienced Professional in Chemical Engineering and Sustainable Development"

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Maria Stefanova Atanassova as a new member of the editorial board of the Algerian Journal of Engineering and Technology as an associate editor. Dr. Atanassova is among the most experienced and productive researchers in her field. She has an extensive educational background and work experience.
Dr. Atanassova was born in the City of Dobrich, Bulgaria. She received her diploma for Chemical Engineer (textile) in 1992 from the High Institute of Chemical Technology in Sofia, Bulgaria. She completed her European Master Degree Certificate in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy - Sofia in 1997. Dr. Atanassova received her Ph.D. diploma in Organic Chemistry from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy - Sofia in 2003.
Dr. Atanasova has a wealth of experience in her work history. she was a Researcher Engineer Chemist and Research Fellow Dr. at the National Center of Public Health Protection in Sofia from 2003 to 2006. She then became an Assistant Professor at the same institution from 2006 to 2010. From 2012 to 2015, Dr. Atanassova served as an Office Manager, Dr. at “Metalotechnik” Ltd - Sofia. Since 2015, she has been an Independent Researcher, Scientific Consulting, Chemical Engineering, UCTM – Sofia, Bulgaria.
Dr. Atanasova has published more than 61 publications and has participated in numerous conferences. She is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Alimentation and Dietary – Sofia and has been certified for Application in Industrial Practices of Scientific Research results from Pharmadent-Bio” LTD, Sofia – 2014. Dr. Atanassova has also served as a Guest Editor for several publications, including Concepts in Magnetic Resonance, Special Issue on Magnetic Resonance in Structural Elucidation and Profiling of Natural Metabolites, Wiley, Hindawi, Molecules, Special Issue on Bioactive Compounds and Antioxidant Activity of Extracts from different Natural Plants, MDPI, and Concepts in Magnetic Resonance Part A, Special Issue on Magnetic Resonance Techniques as Key Components in the Structural Elucidation and Profiling of Natural Products, Wiley, Hindawi.
Dr. Atanassova is a reviewer for several journals, including SCIHELP, ACTA SCIENTIARUM POLONORUM-Series Hortorum Cultus, Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology Islamic Republic of Iran, Journal of Food and Nutrition Research, Critical Reviews in Biotechnology, Journal of Macrobiology and Experimentation, Africal Journal of Microbiology Research, Journal of Experimental and Integrative Medicine, Journal of Cleaner Production (Elsevier), Industrial Crops and Products (Elsevier), Plants (MDPI), Foods (MDPI), Processes (MDPI), and Scientific Reports, Springer Nature Limited.
Dr. Atanassova is the author of the book Biologically Active Substances – Sources of Antioxidants, Sofia 2011. She was also responsible for the Tables of Bulgarian Foods 2008-2010 project.
